My name is Dave T. and I have been wanting to get my motorcycle license for years. Due to certain events over the years I had put my desires on the back burner and literally stopped dreaming about it. Well much to my surprise my wife of 18 years had signed me up with Mike Childers to take the beginner riders course for Christmas. I was excited but very nervous because of seeing people dump and lay down their bikes back home in N.H.
Well being nervous at first soon became excitement as Mike coached me through turns and leaning and by the end of the first day I was grinning from ear to ear like the chesire cat!!!! 2nd day was great but got frustrated with my abilities in tight u-turns in this what I now refer to as the Blue Box from Hell!!! My problem is I tend to over think situations and become my own worst critique. Come the end of the day we took our tests and BINGO I passed and got my certification. Now I can get my endorsement and start looking for a bike. I feel now that with the knowledge of safe riding and a lot of practice in the future my dream of riding the open road will become reality.
